On 2 September 2016, the Deputy Premier and Minister for Planning, Jackie Trad declared Priority Development Area (PDA) status over the former Petrie Paper Mill site and surrounding areas. HPC’s design and planning teams were subsequently instructed by Lite n’Easy a major landowner within the PDA to prepare a comprehensive residential-led mixed use masterplan for part of the former Paper Mill PDA. HPC’s masterplan and vision for the site fed into Council’s Moreton Bay PDA Development Scheme which commenced on 18 August 2017.
